6/27-8/8:Illinois Shakespeare Festival:Shakespeare Alive! Educational Outreach
What: A Free, Family Friendly Production of The Tempest, a story of a king who is banished to magical island where he has control over all of the mystical creatures. He later finds that his brother who betrayed him will be sailing close to his island. Come and see how the king gets his revenge. Although this show is free, space is limited so we ask that you call ahead and reserve your seat. To reserve your seat call 438-3334 or e-mail at festedu@ilstu.edu. This show is geared towards children 9 and older, but we welcome the entire family to join us in the Festival courtyard. Don't forget to pack your lawn chairs and feel free to bring a light snack or stop by our concession stand. Then after the show stop by and take a look in our Illinois Shakespeare Festival gift shop. Where: Ewing Manor, 48 Sunset Road Bloomington, IL When: Wednesday and Saturdays, starting June 27th and ending August 8th at 10 am. Grounds open at 9:30 am.
7/1-7/4: American Music Festival-93 Days of Summer

7/4: XRT's Free Fourth of July Concert at Taste of Chicago-93 Days of Summer
93XRT proudly announces the 2009 XRT Free Fourth of July Concert at Taste of Chicago, starring Buddy Guy and Guster with Booker T. and the DBT’s. The 22nd annual concert, which serves as the musical centerpiece of the city’s signature summer festival, takes place at the Petrillo Music Shell in Grant Park on Saturday, July 4th. Presented by the City of Chicago, Mayor’s Office of Special Events. The concert will be broadcast LIVE in its entirety as an XRT Concert Exclusive on 93XRT (93.1FM) and through the live audio stream at 93xrt.com. 7/11-7/12: Chicago Folk and Roots Festival-93 Days of Summer
The 12th Annual Chicago Folk & Roots Festival, presented by the Old Town School of Folk Music, is on July 11-12th in Welles Park at 4400 N. Lincoln Avenue. Headliners include Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears, Honey Honey, Karsh Kale and Timeline, and more!
7/11-7/12: West Fest-93 Days of Summer
West Fest is July 11-12th in West Town on Chicago Avenue at Damen. Featuring live music and mixes on three stages, family fun area, pet activities, and a multitude of booths from neighborhood restaurants and retailers- West Fest has something for everyone. Headliners include LOCAL H, Red Red Meat, and more.

7/10: 25th Annual Old St. Pat's World's Largest Block Party-93 Days of Summer
The cost of the event is $35; $40 at the door if tickets are available; and $65 for a 2-night ticket. Tickets for the Block Party include 5 drinks—your choice of beer, wine, soda or water—an incredible value!! The event runs from 5:30pm to 10:30 pm each night. Event is 21 and over. Tickets go on-sale Wednesday, May 27 at 9:00am.

7/18-7/19: Sheffield Garden Walk-93 Days of Summer
The 41st Annual Sheffield Garden Walk is July 18-19th at Webster and Sheffield in Lincoln Park. Enjoy garden and architectural tours, a Kids Corner, and live music from Rusted Root and Poi Dog Pondering. Proceeds from the festival benefit the Sheffield Neighborhood Association.
7/23: Terrapin 5K

The 28th Annual Northalsted Market Days is August 1-2nd at Belmont and Halsted, spanning six city blocks- the largest two-day street fair in the Midwest. Featuring 400 food, arts, and crafts vendors and live music on 4 stages.
8/6: GALApalooza 2009-93 Days of Summer
Head to Grant Park for this part dinner party, part concert, total backstage adventure with an auction for an entire box for the U2 concert at Soldier Field.! GALApalooza takes place on the eve of the Lollapalooza music festival for an exciting evening of cocktails, dining, and music featuring Lollapalooza artists Vampire Weekend and Hey Champ. Featuring environmentally friendly vendors and services with live music, Green Fest is where thousands of people who care for the environment will unite to enjoy high quality music and discover new ways to go green.

8/28-8/30: Chicago Triathlon-93 Days of Summer
The Chicago Triathlon is August 28-30th in downtown Chicago. Registration for all events is now open, along with volunteering opportunities. The cause of the event is to advance the efforts of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
8/28-8/30: Downtown Palatine Street Fest-93 Days of Summer
The 10th Annual Downtown Palatine Street Fest is August 28-30th in downtown Palatine. Enjoy the last of summer with live music, local restaurants cuisine, and activities for the whole family. Live music includes headliners Sister Hazel, Sixteen Candles, and more.
