We are proud to announce the return of the Non-Stop Flashback Weekend, beginning at Noon Friday, August 22nd and continuing until 7pm on Sunday, August 24th.

Inspired by XRT’s weekly Saturday Morning Flashback, one of the most popular and acclaimed programs on Chicago's airwaves since its inception in 1985, XRT’s Non-Stop Flashback Weekend will focus on a different year each hour.  Starting Friday at Noon, you’ll hear each year’s most memorable music, from 1967 through 1995, as well as Flashback favorites like XRT’s Regular Guy on the year’s best films, Frank E. Lee’s Rock ‘N’ Roll Obituaries, plus produced features by other XRT personalities and historic audio.  From classic (and forgettable) TV shows, sports events, local news stories, interviews, and celebrities, it’s a great way to enjoy the past...without getting stuck there!  XRT personalities will each host programming segments throughout the weekend, including Saturday Morning Flashback’s longtime host/producer, Wendy Rice.

Starting Wednesday morning, listeners can visit 93XRT.com to view the “Official Non-Stop Flashback Weekend Timetable,” so they’ll see the hour-by-hour schedule of the designated years that may be of particular interest to them.

Due to this special weekend of programming, much of XRT’s usual weekend fare will be pre-empted, including the Friday Feature, Saturday Morning Flashback, XRT’s Eleventh Hour, and Breakfast with the Beatles.
