They may have been named one of Rolling Stone magazine's "Ten Artists to Watch in 2008," but Chicago hip-hop fans already know all about the Cool Kids. The Cool Kids in question - 23-year-old Chuck Inglish (aka Evan Ingersoll) and 19-year-old Mikey Rocks (aka Antoine Reed) - first met online in 2005, and upon getting together promptly cooked up their explosive mix of indie-rock and old-school, big bass dumps. Two of their singles - "Black Mags," which is about BMX bikes, and the more modern "88" - have been flooring club goers for a while now, fueling the fervid anticipation for the impending release of their Chocolate Industries debut, The Bake Sale. To date, their music has already been featured in a Rhapsody commercial, an episode of HBO's Entourage and in the video game NBA Live 08.
