93XRT Artist The Whigs

The Whigs are a trio based out of Athens, GA. “Give’Em All a Big Fat Lip” was the first recorded material to be released by the trio. The band signed to indie label ATO Records, home to Radiohead, My Morning Jacket and Ben Kweller,in 2006.

ATO Records released The Whigs new album, “Mission Control,” on January 22, 2008. It was produced by Rob Schnapf (Beck, Elliott Smith, Guided By Voices) at Sunset Sound and Sound Factory in Los Angeles, CA.

The Whigs have performed with such bands as Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, The Futureheads, The Drive By Truckers, Jason Isbell, The Broken West.
