The Eclectic Company

Noted Chicago musicians Nicholas Tremulis and Jon Langford are the primary rotating hosts of The Eclectic Company, with local and national luminaries from the worlds of television, theater, and film dropping by to serve as special guest hosts. Guest hosts of The Eclectic Company have included Steve Albini, John Doe, Robyn Hitchcock, David Johannsen, a.k.a. "Buster Poindexter," Beck, Alejandro Escovedo and more, playing their favorite music and sharing some of their best stories.

The Eclectic Company is a truly unique listening experience, with each host playing his or her choice of favorite recordings, selected specifically from their personal collections, and sharing experiences and insights with the audience. The spontaneous, intimate setting of the show gives the audience a rare glimpse into the music scene, as well as the lives of some of their favorite performers. When M. Ward was asked some of his favorite things in Pitchfork, he responded " The first one that comes to mind is Eclectic Company on WXRT in Chicago. Great format, great radio station."
