From the 2008 album, Pinetop Perkins and Friends.

  • COLD WOMEN WITH WARM HEARTS MAGIC SLIM AND THE TEARDROPS
From Slim's 1990 album, Gravel Road. Almost lost in the news about Koko Taylor, the Blues Fest and the Fourth of July was the passing of Slim's brother and bass player, the much loved Nick Holt, June 22.
  • PINETOP'S BOOGIE WOOGIE PINETOP PERKINS
You can't really do a program about Pinetop without playing this song that seems to appear on most of his records. This is from an album called Pinetop's Boogie Woogie that came out in 1992 and features the all-star cast of James Cotton on harp, Matt Murphy on guitar, Luther Tucker on guitar, Bob Stroger on bass and Ted Harvey on drums.

From the new album, Tear This World Up.
  • NIGHT TRAIN TAB BENOIT

  • I FOUND JOY CYRIL NEVILLE
This is from a new blues album by Neville Brother Cyril called Brand New Blues.
  • MAYOR DALEY BLUES EDDY CLEARWATER
This is my shuffle song of the week. It popped up on my mp3 player and sounded good. Eddy singing about how if the first Mayor Daley would just come out and hear some blues he would then see to it that there would be blues clubs popping up all over town.
  • BIG BOSS MAN KOKO TAYLOR
We'll be playing Koko all summer long on Blues Breakers. This is from the 1975 album, I Got What It Takes.
  • MOANIN' AT MIDNIGHT JOHN PRIMER

Pinetop with a lot of lady guests here doing a piano duo with Marcia Ball from the album, Ladies Man, released in 2004.
